One man, one million meals

“You can do such big things when everyone contributes even just a little bit. The donations add up fast,” Lardie says with a smile.

Lardie has been collecting funds to help fight hunger at Family of Christ Lutheran Church in Vancouver since 2003.

“I get up in front of the congregation with a big canister and ask everyone to give what they can to help feed people in need,” he says.

Lardie raised $13,550 to help fight hunger in 2006-07. Since 2003, his program has raised nearly $200,000.
